  • Establish goals for the pharmacy in conjunction with the President. Monitor progress towards these goals on a consistent basis, and report results to the President.
  • • Develop and implement plans for the company growth initiatives.
  • • Advise the President in the finances and budget of the company, and the activities of the sales and marketing department.
  • • Oversee the pharmacy services of the company, including monitoring internal company processes and operations.
  • • Guiding clinical operational aspects of the program and oversight of the clinical decision-making aspects of the program.
  • • Recruit, hire and direct pharmacy staff to ensure that they carry out the goals of the company. Hold clinicians accountable to the organization for decisions affecting consumers.
  • • Conduct meetings with members of the pharmacy staff at regular intervals.
  • • Arrange for performance evaluation of each member of pharmacy annually; establish annual performance goals, and monitor progress toward these goals on a consistent basis.
  • • Maintain ongoing liaison with all pharmacy staff members in order to obtain their cooperation toward the achievement of the goals of the company.
  • • Consult with practitioners in the field as needed to improve organization processes and patient outcomes.
  • • Ensure ongoing company compliance with all laws and regulations; ensure that the company meets or exceeds accreditation standards; and implement ‘’best practices’’ in department activities.
  • • Delegate authority as necessary to ensure that all responsibilities of this position and pharmacy operations are fulfilled in a timely and accurate manner.
