Non-Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Tech - New York, NY

RPh on the Go is seeking a pharmacy technician with a passion for non-sterile compounding to join our dynamic team. This opportunity will allow you to compound medications for arthritis therapy, dermatology, etc. To be considered for this position in New York, NY, you must have one to two years of retail pharmacy experience and have a clear and active NY Pharmacy Tech license.

Essential Functions: As a Non-Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in the compounding process, ensuring the accuracy and quality of non-sterile medications. Your responsibilities include:

• Accurately and efficiently compound non-sterile medications following established procedures and formulations.
• Employ precision in measuring, mixing, and preparing medications to meet the specific needs of patients.
• Perform thorough quality control checks on compounded medications, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal protocols.
• Promptly identify and address any discrepancies or issues to maintain the highest standards of quality.
• Assist in maintaining an organized and well-stocked compounding area.
• Monitor inventory levels of compounding materials and report shortages or discrepancies, contributing to efficient workflow.
• Enter compounding-related data into the system with meticulous attention to detail.
• Maintain accurate records of compounded formulations, supporting regulatory compliance and traceability.
• Collaborate effectively with pharmacists and other team members to ensure a seamless workflow and optimal patient care.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance compounding skills and stay updated on industry best practices.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of Retail Pharmacy Technician Experience
• New York (NY) State Pharmacy Technician License
