Oncology Staff Pharmacist, Boston, MA

We are looking for an experienced Oncology pharmacist to work full time for a great hospital system.

Responsibilities:

• Review and assess chemotherapy orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions
• Prepare and dispense chemotherapy medications and supportive care medications in accordance with established protocols and guidelines
• Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop personalized treatment plans for patients
• Provide drug information and counseling to patients and their families regarding chemotherapy regimens, potential side effects, and management strategies
• Monitor patient response to chemotherapy and supportive care medications, making appropriate interventions and adjustments as necessary
• Participate in tumor board meetings and contribute to treatment decisions based on pharmacological expertise
• Ensure compliance with oncology pharmacy standards, protocols, and regulatory requirements
• Assist in the management of investigational drug trials and participate in clinical research activities
• Stay updated with the latest developments in oncology treatments and advancements in pharmaceutical therapies

Requirements:

• MA pharmacist license in good standing
• 2+ years of oncology experience.
• Inpatient experience preferred
