Order Entry Pharmacy Technician - Full-Time 1st Shift - Troy, OH

Job Title: Order Entry Pharmacy Technician (Full-Time)
Location: Troy, OH

We are looking for a dedicated Order Entry Pharmacy Technician to join our Central Order Entry Team for a Direct Hire opportunity in Troy, OH. If you have previous pharmacy order entry experience and are looking for a full-time role with excellent benefits and growth potential, this could be the position for you!

Position Details:

• Schedule: Monday-Friday and every other weekend.
  • 1st Shift: 10:00 am - 6:30 pm
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm
• Term of Assignment: Direct Hire

Key Responsibilities:

• Order Entry & Follow-up: Accurately enter new orders, discontinue orders (DCs), STAT orders, Accuflow Change logs, mail orders, CII evaluations, and patient admissions into the pharmacy system.
• Pharmacy System Knowledge: Utilize the Framework / DocuTrack system for order entry functions and ensure timely, accurate input of prescription and patient information.
• Research & Discrepancy Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies related to prescriptions and patient data, ensuring accurate and safe medication handling.
• Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Work with the Order Entry leadership to meet department goals and contribute to the continuous improvement of client services, policies, and procedures.
• Customer Service Focus: Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers and handle inquiries, including answering the phone as needed.

Requirements:

• OH State Pharmacy Technician License in good standing with no negative history.
• Previous Pharmacy Order Entry Experience is required.
• Strong Computer Skills and familiarity with pharmacy software systems.
• Thorough Understanding of Medical Terminology and drug knowledge.
• Math and Analytical Skills, with a focus on medication calculations.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a long-term care pharmacy preferred.
