Hospital Pharmacist Travel Assignment (Temp to Perm)

Hours: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
Position Overview:
Are you a Hospital Pharmacist looking for a travel opportunity in Oregon? Join a growing healthcare team where you ll support the Director of Pharmacy (DOP) in managing an expanding pharmacy operation. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated pharmacist who is ready to take on new challenges and grow within a dynamic environment.
About the Facility:
This facility, classified as an investigational drug room, is currently expanding and is in the process of establishing an IV compounding room. While prior experience in IV compounding is a plus, it s not a requirement. The DOP currently handles most pharmacy operations and is excited to bring on a new team member to help manage increasing workloads and enhance pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Medication Order Review: Accurately interpret and review medication orders for both inpatients and outpatients.
- Medication Preparation & Distribution: Prepare and verify medications for distribution across the hospital, clinics, and ambulance services.
- Patient Counseling: Provide counseling to patients upon discharge, focusing on medication management, adherence, and safety.
- Inventory Management: Regularly inspect pharmacy inventory to ensure compliance with internal policies, ensuring a safe and efficient operation.
Qualifications:
- Active Oregon Pharmacist License: Must be current and in good standing.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years in an inpatient hospital pharmacy setting.
- Preferred: Experience in an acute care hospital setting is a plus but not required.
