Outpatient Pharmacy Technician Day Shift | Chicago, IL

Join a reputable outpatient hospital pharmacy in Chicago, IL as a Pharmacy Technician on a contract basis through July, with a possibility for extension. This is a great opportunity for skilled pharmacy technicians who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, providing both administrative and hands-on support in a hospital outpatient setting.

Schedule:

• Monday and Tuesday, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM

• Rotating weekends required

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare, dispense, and label medications

• Verify prescriptions and ensure regulatory compliance

• Assist patients with questions related to medications and usage

• Maintain inventory and perform regular stock audits

• Process insurance claims, billing, and maintain patient records

• Follow hospital pharmacy protocols and uphold safety standards

Requirements:

• Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician License

• Minimum 1 year of recent pharmacy technician experience in a hospital or outpatient pharmacy

• Strong understanding of medication preparation, customer service, and pharmacy operations

• Experience handling billing, insurance claims, and inventory systems
