We're looking for an Outpatient Staff Pharmacist for a 13+ week PRN assignment with the potential to work 2-3 days a week (or more if you're available).

Position Details:

• Job Title: Outpatient Staff Pharmacist
• Location: East Palo Alto, CA
• Contract Duration: 13+ weeks (Ongoing coverage)
• Schedule: Monday Friday with possible weekends
• Hours: Flexible between 8:00 AM 7:00 PM
• Contract Status: Signed and ready to start

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you ll be a vital part of the pharmacy team, ensuring patients receive top-tier care in a fast-paced outpatient setting. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Dispensing Medications: Accurately preparing and dispensing medications while providing essential patient counseling on proper usage, side effects, and precautions.
• Collaborating with Healthcare Providers: Work directly with doctors, nurses, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care.
• Reviewing Prescriptions: Verify the accuracy, appropriateness, and completeness of prescriptions.
• Maintaining Patient Records: Ensure all medication histories, interactions, and profiles are up-to-date and accurate.
• Inventory Control: Oversee the ordering, stocking, and restocking of medications and supplies.
• Customer Service: Assist patients with OTC products, answer medication-related questions, and address any concerns.
• Compliance: Ensure all activities meet federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations.

What We re Looking For:

• Active, Clear California Pharmacist License
• Recent pharmacy experience with a focus on medication dispensing, counseling, and patient care
• Outpatient pharmacy experience is a plus, but not required
• Strong communication skills with an ability to work collaboratively
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Flexibility to work varying shifts and weekends as needed
