Location: Lewisburg, Pennsylvania

Term of Assignment: 13+ weeks, with the potential for permanent employment for the right candidate

Shifts: Mondays and Fridays from 8:00am-4:30pm

Description of Need: This position is at a closed-door, Long Term Care pharmacy, indicating that it primarily serves patients in long-term care facilities.

Job Duties:

  1. Fill and verify prescription accuracy for various types of orders, including cycle fills, daily fills, and retail customer needs, in compliance with State and Federal Laws.
  2. Operate the Pharmacy Computer system to ensure accurate prescription documentation and billing.
  3. Complete monthly nursing forms, including Medication Administration Records, Physician Orders, and Treatment orders for documentation purposes.
  4. Communicate with patients, their families, staff, and other professionals as needed.
  5. Provide direct supervision of Pharmacy Technicians and Drivers in accordance with applicable governing laws, regulations, and policies.
  6. Expand and enhance clinical expertise, professional, and management skills through interaction with managers, physicians, and other professional staff.
  7. Understand Facility and Third-party billing guidelines and practices.
  8. Comply with infection control procedures and environmental safety protocols within a Long Term Care (LTC) facility and senior living campus. Embrace the team concept and interdisciplinary care in the LTC environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Pennsylvania (PA) Pharmacist license, clear and active.
  • 1+ years of Long Term Care (LTC) experience is preferred
  • Experience working with specific pharmacy software systems like Qs1-prime care, prata ATP, perl, and Docutrack is preferred,
  • Availability to work on Mondays and Fridays.
