Part-Time Retail Pharmacist Newark, NJ

We are seeking a licensed Part-Time Retail Pharmacist for a 13-week contract in Newark, NJ. This position requires a pharmacist with a strong retail background and immunization certification.

The pharmacist will be the sole RPh on duty during shifts, supported by two filling technicians and one certified pharmacy technician. The pharmacy processes 100-200 prescriptions per day.

Schedule:

• Friday: 9:30 AM 6:30 PM
• Saturday: 9:30 AM 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently check prescription medications, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and physician instructions.

• Provide counseling and drug-related information to customers for both prescription and over-the-counter items.

• Deliver excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries, concerns, and medication-related questions.

• Administer immunizations to facility residents and walk-in customers.

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate medication needs and effectiveness.

• Identify and resolve prescribing, formulary, and therapeutic issues, collaborating proactively with healthcare providers to recommend formulary substitutions when appropriate.

Requirements:

• Clear and active New Jersey Pharmacist license.

• Immunization certification.

• Recent retail pharmacy experience.
