Part-Time Staff Pharmacist - IV Compounding - Rotating Shifts - Waco, TX

Shifts: 1st and 2nd Shift - Rotating

Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM and 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Job Duties:

Are you a dedicated Pharmacist seeking a flexible part-time opportunity with the potential for a permanent position? We have an immediate opening for a Part-Time Staff Pharmacist on a 13-week temporary assignment with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role. As a Staff Pharmacist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Supervision: Overseeing pharmacy technicians and/or data entry clerks to ensure proper data entry, workflow, security of the pharmacy area, and adherence to delivery schedules.
• Ordering and Prepacking: Overseeing and managing ordering and prepacking activities performed by pharmacy technicians.
• Medication Screening: Screening all new medication orders for appropriate dose, drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications prior to dispensing.
• Controlled Substances: Assisting in the proper ordering, handling, receiving, documentation, and storage of all controlled substances. Maintaining a perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

• Clear and Active License: Licensed as a pharmacist in the state of Texas.
• Rotating Days/Evenings: Willing and able to work rotating shifts.
• IV Experience: Previous experience with IV compounding is preferred.

Contract Status:

The contract for this position has been signed, offering you a 13-week temporary assignment with the potential to transition into a permanent position.
