Pharmacist at Inpatient Hospital in Winamac, IN

Position: Pharmacist (Inpatient Hospital)
Location: Winamac, IN
Terms: Direct Hire
Shift: Full-time, 30 hours/week

General Job Duties:

• Accurately fill medication orders
• Check technician-prepared products before release
• Maintain the security of the pharmacy and controlled substances
• Accurately enter orders and patient information
• Assist in training new staff members
• Provide updates to the Director on daily pharmacy activities
• Assist the Director in maintaining the pharmacy

Equipment Utilized:

• EMR: CPSI
• Automated Dispensing Cabinet: Omnicell

Required Skills and Experience:

• No experience necessary; new graduates encouraged to apply
• Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
• Proven accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
• Familiarity with computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Licensure and Certifications:

• Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy
• Current Pharmacist license in good standing in Indiana

Shift & Schedule Requirements:

• Weekend rotation required
• On-call duty after full training

Additional Details:

• Floating: Will cover in outpatient pharmacy as needed
• Bed Size: 25-bed critical access hospital
• Dress Code: Scrubs or business casual
