Pharmacist (Direct Hire) Hospital Inpatient

Location: Winamac, IN
Shift: Full Time (30 hours/week)

Overview:
Join a dynamic team at a 25-bed critical access hospital in Winamac, IN, where new graduates are encouraged to apply! This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on patient care in an inpatient setting.

General Job Duties:

• Accurately fill medication orders.
• Review and approve technician-prepared products before release.
• Ensure the security of the pharmacy and controlled substances.
• Accurately enter patient information and medication orders.
• Assist in the training of new staff members.
• Provide daily updates to the Director on pharmacy activities.
• Help maintain the pharmacy in collaboration with the Director.

Equipment Utilized:

• EMR System: CPSI
• Automated Dispensing Cabinet: Omnicell

Required Skills and Experience:

• Experience: No prior experience required; new graduates are encouraged to apply!
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, make critical decisions, and address client concerns.
• Proven accuracy and timeliness in a work setting.
• Proficient in using computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Licensure and Certifications:

• Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy.
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing in the state of Indiana.

Shift and Schedule Requirements:

• Weekend rotation required.
• On-call duty required after full training is completed.

Additional Responsibilities:

• May float to outpatient pharmacy as needed.
