Pharmacist at Research Hospital IV/Cleanroom New York, NY

A prominent research hospital in New York City is seeking a skilled pharmacist for a temp-to-perm position. This opportunity is ideal for pharmacists with IV and cleanroom experience and an interest in clinical research. Candidates may work full-time or part-time, based on availability.

Term of Assignment:
13+ weeks | Temp to Perm

Schedule/Shift:

• Full Time: Monday Friday, 8:30am 5:00pm

• Part Time: Monday Friday, 8:30am 1:00pm

Duties:

• Prepare, compound, label, and dispense medications, including investigational drugs

• Review and interpret physician orders for standard and research-related therapies

• Monitor drug therapies and recommend clinical interventions as needed

• Oversee pharmacy technicians workflow and verify orders, labels, and charges

• Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies: NYSBP, DEA, TJC, FDA, NIH, NYDOH, etc.

• Provide pharmacological advice to healthcare professionals and researchers

• Maintain records, controlled drug logs, and temperature logs

• Participate in research meetings and protocol development

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including sterile compounding procedures

• Support clinical trial operations and pharmacy module functions in hospital EHR systems

Requirements:

• NYS Pharmacist license in good standing

• Minimum 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience

• Experience preparing IV medications and working in a cleanroom is required

• Familiarity with EHR systems such as Cerner or EPIC

• Previous research experience is preferred but not required

• Ability to read and execute clinical trial protocols

• Strong documentation and communication skills

• Certification in sterile compounding (e.g., BCSCP) preferred or willingness to obtain

Program System:

• Must have proficiency with hospital-based EHR systems (e.g., Cerner, EPIC)

• Experience with automated drug dispensing machines and controlled drug systems
