Pharmacist, Clinical Coordinator (Sandusky OH)
RPh on the Go is actively seeking a Clinical Coordinator Pharmacist for a full-time, direct-hire opportunity in Sandusky, OH. This position is responsible for implementing department policies, assisting with planning, and assuming Director of Pharmacy (DoP) responsibilities when the DoP is unavailable. The role requires expertise in financial management, regulatory policy management, and clinical pharmacy operations in an inpatient hospital setting.
Position Details:

- Leadership role with oversight of clinical operations
Responsibilities:
- Initiate, schedule, direct, and control day-to-day clinical pharmacy operations
- Coordinate the department s activities with other hospital departments to ensure quality of care
- Actively participate in quality improvements, hiring processes, and committee work
- Establish content for monthly staff meetings
- Complete reports, minutes, metrics, and annual performance appraisals for pharmacists, including staff competencies
- Communicate, interpret, and discuss hospital and departmental objectives, work methods, and performance standards with employees
- Schedule and coordinate work of professional staff as needed
- Participate in training, education, and orientation of new personnel
- Collaborate with the Director of Pharmacy in planning short- and long-term annual budgets for operations and capital
- Maintain clinical and staffing requirements as needed
- Provide staff development support and competency training for pharmacists and nurses
- Oversee the development and review of hospital order sets
- Provide presentations, publications, and educational activities on drug-related topics to the healthcare community
- Participate as a member of the Medication Continuous Quality Improvement Committee and Clinical Protocol Review Committee
Qualifications:
- Active and clear Ohio Pharmacist license
- Minimum of 3 years of staffing and managerial experience in a clinical hospital pharmacy
- Inpatient hospital experience required
- Experience with financial management and budgetary responsibilities
- Ability to interpret complex regulations and policies accurately
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage change and apply sound judgment in complex situations
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the healthcare system
