Job Title: Pharmacist - Retail Experience Required
Location: Brockton, Massachusetts
Shift: 2nd - 3:30pm - 12:00am - M - F (rotating weekends)
Job Summary:
RPh on the Go is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Pharmacist with Retail Pharmacy Experience to join our team in Brockton, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, accurately dispensing medications, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations, including prescription preparation, verification, and dispensing.
- Provide exceptional customer service by counseling patients on the use of prescription and over-the-counter medications.
- Ensure the accurate and timely dispensing of medications in accordance with federal and Massachusetts state laws.
- Monitor drug interactions, allergies, and therapeutic duplications to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve prescription issues and provide drug therapy recommendations.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stocking, and managing returns of medications and supplies.
- Assist in administering immunizations and other preventive healthcare services to patients.
- Supervise and train pharmacy technicians and support staff, ensuring compliance with pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Stay up-to-date with new medications, industry regulations, and best practices in retail pharmacy.
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of Massachusetts, in good standing with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy.
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or equivalent from an accredited pharmacy school.
- 2+ years of retail pharmacy experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of retail pharmacy operations, including prescription processing, inventory management, and customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients and healthcare providers.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and data entry processes.
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a high-volume setting.
