Contract Pharmacist Position near Syracuse, NY
RPh on the Go is seeking a dedicated and qualified Pharmacist for a contract position near Syracuse, NY. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes while working in a supportive environment.
Shift Schedule:

• Alternate days/eves
• Every other weekend required
• Week 1: Day shift (7am-3:30pm)
• Week 2: Evening shift (1pm-9pm)

Qualifications:

• B.S. in Pharmacy or Pharm D.
• New York State (NYS) pharmacy license
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience is desirable
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance

Duties:

• Interpreting medication orders and prescriptions to ensure completeness, safety, rationality, and compliance with institutional policy.
• Preparing compounds and dispensing medications for both inpatient and ambulatory care use, including the preparation of injectable sterile products.
• Dispensing Pharmacy-related items.
• Performing duties in all areas of the Pharmacy, including inpatient, ambulatory care, and satellites.
• Providing information to healthcare practitioners to promote the rational use of medications.
• Offering drug monitoring services.
• Maintaining Pharmacy records in accordance with legal requirements and institutional policy.
• Interpreting policies and procedures for hospital staff.
• Participating in teaching programs for hospital staff.
• Contributing to the Pharmacy Department's Quality Assurance Programs.
• Demonstrating the ability to perform the majority of patient care functions needed in the acute care setting with minimal orientation and supervision.
