Pharmacist- IHS Travel/Local - Peridot, AZ

A healthcare facility in Peridot, AZ is seeking experienced Staff Pharmacists to join their team on a travel or local contract basis. This opportunity includes both inpatient/ER and outpatient roles. Job Title: Staff Pharmacist Inpatient/ER (Travel or Local)
Location: Peridot, AZ
Assignment Length: 13+ Weeks

Duties:

• Direct and manage daily administrative pharmacy operations to ensure high-quality service

• Verify prescriptions, review medication orders for safety and efficacy

• Provide medication counseling and collaborate with providers

• Supervise and train pharmacy staff, evaluating performance and managing schedules

• Develop and implement department policies and procedures

• Monitor purchasing, inventory, and cost-effective pharmaceutical management

• Maintain and oversee computer-based dispensing and information systems

• Participate in ongoing education, quality assurance, and orientation programs

• Complete monthly operational reports and identify improvement strategies

• Support continuous process improvement and staff development

Schedule/Shift:

• 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts

• Variable shifts including days, nights, swing shifts, and weekends

Requirements:

• Bachelor s degree in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred (including 1-year residency)

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience, with at least 2 years in management

• Current and valid State Pharmacist License

• BLS certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire)

• ACLS and PALS required (PALS can be obtained on-site within the first month)

• Must be able to pass background check and drug screening
