Pharmacist in Charge - 2-Month Hospital Contract - Monterey Park, California

RPh on the Go is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead the pharmacy team at a well-respected hospital in Monterey Park, California. This is a 2-month contract position with an opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the hospital pharmacy, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Manage and supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
• Maintain accurate records of controlled substances and other medications.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and ensure the safe administration of medications.
• Implement and monitor policies and procedures to enhance pharmacy services.
• Handle inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and checking for expired medications.
• Provide leadership in quality improvement initiatives within the pharmacy department.

Shift:

• Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Qualifications:

• CA Pharmacist License
• Previous PIC or DOP experience
• 2+ year or more of recent inpatient experience
• Covid vaccine is required.
