Pharmacist in Charge 3 Month Contract Alexandria LA

Are you an experienced pharmacist looking for a leadership role in a small, independent pharmacy setting? We are seeking a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for a 90-day contract in Alexandria, LA. This position offers a stable weekday schedule with the option to work Fridays if desired. The schedule can be either Monday - Thursday or Monday - Friday, depending on availability.

Schedule

• Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
• Optional Friday shifts available

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
• Process and verify prescriptions in a low-volume setting (under 40 prescriptions per day).
• Provide patient counseling and exceptional customer service.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and pharmacy workflow.
• Work independently with remote and onsite support from sister pharmacy locations.

Requirements

• Active and clear Louisiana Pharmacist License.
• At least 3 years of recent experience in a retail or outpatient setting.
• Minimum 1 year of PIC experience.
• Comfortable working solo without a pharmacy technician.
