Job Summary:
RPh on the Go is seeking an experienced and dedicated Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to oversee our Mail Order/Specialty Pharmacy operations in Indianapolis, Indiana. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with Indiana state laws, federal regulations, and industry standards while delivering high-quality patient care. The PIC will be responsible for the effective management of pharmacy services, focusing on the unique needs of mail order and specialty pharmacy patients.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the mail order and specialty pharmacy, including the supervision of pharmacy staff, order fulfillment, and delivery of medications.
Ensure compliance with all Indiana State Board of Pharmacy regulations, as well as federal laws and standards related to mail order and specialty pharmacy operations.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of prescriptions, controlled substances, and patient profiles, in accordance with HIPAA and regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement protocols for medication dispensing, packaging, and shipping to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Provide clinical oversight for specialty medications, including biologics, oncology treatments, and other high-cost therapies.
Coordinate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to ensure proper medication management and adherence.
Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff, providing training and ensuring the quality of work.
Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
Resolve any operational issues, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
Maintain a positive and professional working environment, fostering strong relationships with patients and healthcare providers.
Stay current with industry trends, drug therapies, and specialty pharmacy best practices.

Qualifications:
Active Pharmacist license in the state of Indiana, in good standing with the Indiana State Board of Pharmacy.
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or equivalent from an accredited pharmacy school.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a mail order, specialty pharmacy, or pharmacy management role.
Strong understanding of Indiana and federal pharmacy laws, including mail order regulations, specialty drug distribution, and controlled substances.
Proven leadership and management experience, with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Experience with specialty medications, such as biologics, oncology, and infusion therapies.
Knowledge of pharmacy software systems and technology solutions for mail order operations.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
