Job Title: Pharmacist in Charge / Pharmacy Manager

Location: Wausau, WI

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (On-call from 4:30 PM to 8:00 AM; 24-hour coverage on weekends)

Duration: Start Date: 10/14/2024 (8 weeks or longer)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a strong and experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) or Pharmacy Manager to lead our pharmacy team during a period of leadership transition at our hospital. This role is essential in ensuring that our pharmacy meets the needs of our patients and staff while maintaining high standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with all regulations and customer requirements.
• Lead and manage pharmacy staff effectively.
• Maintain accurate medication records and ensure safe dispensing practices.
• Provide clinical support and guidance to pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a PIC or Pharmacy Manager.
• Licensure: Valid Wisconsin pharmacist license.
• Inpatient Experience: At least 2 years of recent experience in an inpatient hospital setting.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with Wellsky pharmacy system is a plus.
• Automation: Experience with Pyxis or similar automation systems is preferred.
• Compounding: No IV compounding is performed at this facility.
• Facility Size: Average bed size of 44.
