Job Type: Direct Hire

RPh on the Go is actively seeking an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for a direct-hire opportunity in Rochester, New York. This is an excellent leadership role for a dedicated pharmacy professional to join a well-established pharmacy and make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and proper administration.
  • Ensure medications are accurately dispensed, supplied, and labeled.
  • Provide therapy recommendations to physicians and facility staff as needed.
  • Maintain and update customer databases, including medical history, clinical, and laboratory data.
  • Investigate and resolve medication-related inquiries.
  • Communicate with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication concerns.
  • Oversee the preparation of medications and maintain compliance with legal and stock control requirements.
  • Ensure proper security measures for medication storage and handling.
  • Be available for on-call duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Active Pharmacist license in the State of New York.
  • 5-10 years of experience in hospital, retail pharmacy, or other medical fields.
  • Long-Term Care experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • High attention to detail and proficiency with computer systems.
  • Familiarity with Framework/ECM software is a plus.
