Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the pharmacy department, from staff supervision to workflow optimization and inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • Provide clinical guidance to pharmacy staff on medication therapy management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes through effective medication therapy.
  • Conduct medication therapy reviews and offer patient counseling on medication usage.
  • Oversee the accurate compounding and dispensing of medications, maintaining high quality standards.
  • Monitor drug utilization patterns and implement strategies for cost-effective prescribing.
  • Stay updated on developments in pharmacy practice, including new medications and regulatory changes.
  • Maintain meticulous records of pharmacy transactions, ensuring proper documentation for controlled substances.

Job Requirements:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
  • Current pharmacist license in good standing in the state of Texas.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong leadership qualities to motivate and inspire a team.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a licensed pharmacist.
  • Retail pharmacy experience preferred.

Licensing or Certification Requirement:

  • Active and clear pharmacist license for the state of Texas.
