Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) - Hospital - Monterey Park, California

RPh on the Go is seeking an experienced and dedicated Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for a 2-month contract position at a hospital in Monterey Park, California. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned pharmacist to step into a leadership role and ensure the highest standards of patient care and medication management.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all pharmacy operations within the hospital.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as hospital policies and procedures.
• Supervise, mentor, and guide pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care and medication therapies.
• Manage inventory, order medications, and ensure the safe storage and handling of pharmaceuticals.
• Implement and maintain quality assurance programs to ensure the accuracy and safety of all medication dispensing processes.
• Handle administrative duties, including scheduling, payroll, and performance evaluations.

Shift:

• Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Qualifications:

• CA Pharmacist License
• Previous PIC or DOP experience
• 2+ year or more of recent inpatient experience
• Covid vaccine is required.
