RPh on the Go is actively recruiting for an experienced Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) for a long-term care pharmacy in Rochester, NY. This direct-hire role offers a chance to take charge of a pharmacy serving a high-volume operation with the opportunity to shape team performance and operational success.

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM

• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM 10:00 PM

• 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM 7:30 AM (overnight)

• Site operates 24/7, 365 days a year

• Start Date: ASAP

  Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations and ensure compliance with company policies, state, and federal regulations.

• Supervise and guide a team of 8 pharmacists and 21 technicians to meet productivity and safety standards.

• Perform administrative duties and provide visibility on the floor to engage with the team and motivate them.

• Manage HR-related issues, including staffing and performance evaluations, without an on-site HR team.

• Evaluate and verify medication orders for appropriateness, dosage, potential interactions, and correct administration.

• Provide recommendations for therapy adjustments to physicians and nursing staff.

• Ensure proper labeling, security, and supply of medications.

• Maintain customer databases and resolve medication-related queries.

• Ensure the preparation and dispensing of medicines in compliance with regulations.

• Maintain a register of controlled drugs and perform on-call duties when needed.

Qualifications:

• Active Pharmacist License in New York (required)

• 5-10 years of experience in hospital, retail, or long-term care pharmacy

• Long-term care (LTC) experience preferred

• Proven leadership or PIC/managerial experience

• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills

• Attention to detail and the ability to manage a busy team

• Familiarity with ECM or Framework software is a plus

• Ability to work flexible shifts and be available for on-call duties
