RPh on the Go is actively seeking a highly experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for a direct hire opportunity at an outpatient specialty pharmacy in Massachusetts. This is an exciting leadership role for a pharmacist with a strong background in specialty pharmacy who is ready to oversee operations, ensure compliance, and drive exceptional patient care in a well-established, high-value pharmacy setting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
- Provide leadership and strategic direction to pharmacy staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork
- Verify prescriptions and oversee the dispensing process to ensure accuracy, safety, and timeliness
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to optimize workflow efficiency and patient care
- Ensure proper handling and distribution of specialty medications, maintaining adherence to best practices
- Manage inventory, ensuring adequate supply levels while maintaining cost control
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and accreditation bodies
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, payers, and patients to optimize specialty medication therapy management
- Lead and mentor pharmacy staff, ensuring ongoing training and professional development
Licensure:
- Active and clear Massachusetts Pharmacist License required
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of prior specialty pharmacy experience required
- Strong preference for candidates with previous experience as a Specialty Pharmacy Manager
- Candidates with extensive specialty pharmacy experience and management experience in another pharmacy setting will also be considered
- Skills & Competencies:
- Proven leadership abilities in a pharmacy setting
- Strong knowledge of specialty medications, patient support programs, and insurance processes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with healthcare teams and patients
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and compliance
