Pharmacist - Inpatient Hospital (Travel) - Cottonwood, ID
RPH on the go is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inpatient Hospital Pharmacist to join our healthcare team in Cottonwood, ID. In this travel assignment, you will report to the Director of Pharmacy, managing a wide array of pharmacy services while ensuring adherence to hospital and regulatory standards. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to patient care in a growing hospital environment.
Duties:
- Collaborate on the development and implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Assist with personnel management, training, and maintaining staff competencies.
- Oversee and support remote pharmacy services as needed.
- Manage formulary processes, ensuring compliance with contracts, interchanges, and addressing medication shortages.
- Coordinate with the medical staff on formulary decisions and lead the pharmacy and therapeutics committee.
- Manage inventory and distribution systems, including:
- Maintenance of the Pyxis system
- Controlled substance tracking
- Inventory optimization, including purchasing and inter-department sales
- Support regional needs such as EMS and clinic medication orders
- Follow exposure control plans, HIPAA guidelines, and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Provide clear communication with patients, families, and colleagues through various channels (in-person, writing, telephone).
Schedule/Shift:
- Full-time position

Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Science (required)
- License: Active Idaho Pharmaceutical License (required)
- Certification: PharmD Certification (preferred)
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting (preferred)
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
- Perform tasks such as stooping, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to read charts, dials, and materials accurately.
- Comfortable working with computers and software programs.
- May encounter needles, blood, and bodily fluids during work.
- Available to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
