Travel Pharmacist with Indian Health Services - No Weekends
Embark on a transformative journey to enhance healthcare accessibility for indigenous communities. As a Travel Pharmacy Professional with the IHS, you'll be part of a dedicated team striving to make a lasting impact in the lives of American Indian and Alaska Native communities. Experience the fulfillment of delivering high-quality pharmaceutical services while embracing a unique cultural and clinical environment. This is a 13-26 week contract, working Mon-Fri 8:00am - 4:30pm.
Responsibilities:
- Provide pharmaceutical support services during clinic operating hours (max 40 hours/week).
- Analyze medication regimens to ensure effective, safe, and economical treatment plans.
- Evaluate medication regimens for appropriateness, interactions, duplications, and adverse events.
- Process prescriptions, perform checks, and provide counseling to patients primarily through phone or in-person interactions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited pharmacy program or school.
- Licensed to practice pharmacy in a State, Territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
- Proficiency in pharmacy databases such as Electronic Health Records (EHR), RPMS, ScriptPro, Script Pro Central, Pyxis MedStation, and CII Safe.
- Clinical background preferred.
- Certificate of Immunizations.
- COVID vaccination preferred.
