Pharmacist needed near Temple, TX- Sterile Compounding

RPh on the Go is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist to join our team near Temple, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment and make a meaningful impact on patient care.

Responsibilities:

1. IV Preparation: Prepare and dispense intravenous medications, including chemotherapy drugs, antibiotics, and other sterile compounds with precision and adherence to safety protocols.

2. Sterile Compounding: Perform sterile compounding activities in compliance with USP 797/800 guidelines, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards.

3. Medication Review: Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness, ensuring patients receive the correct medications and dosages.

4. Patient Consultation: Provide medication counseling to patients, addressing questions and concerns, and offering guidance on medication usage.

5. Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare providers, nurses, and other pharmacy staff to ensure seamless medication management and patient care.

6. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of medication dispensing and compounding activities in accordance with regulatory requirements.

7. Medication Safety: Monitor for drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications to prevent adverse reactions and ensure patient safety.

8. Compliance: Stay current with state and federal pharmacy regulations and ensure pharmacy operations meet all compliance standards.

Qualifications:

• Pharmacist License: Active pharmacist license in the state of Texas.
• Experience: Prior experience in IV preparation and sterile compounding is required.
