Full-Time Staff Pharmacist (Temp-to-Perm)

Schedule: Monday-Saturday (Thursdays OFF), Day Shift

• Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Saturday: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

RPh on the Go is seeking a dedicated and experienced Staff Pharmacist for a full-time, temp-to-perm assignment in New York. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-volume pharmacy settings and possess strong leadership and supervisory skills.

Overview:

• The Staff Pharmacist will report to the Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC) and perform duties as assigned.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, interns, and support staff, ensuring all team members comply with pharmacy procedures and professional standards.
• Responsible for overseeing all activities related to the dispensing of medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with prescriptions.
• Fill prescriptions and verify the correct medication, dosage, and instructions from prescribing healthcare providers.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure strict compliance with professional policies, procedures, and legal regulations.
• Verify and dispense medications as per the prescribing practitioner's instructions.
• Provide counseling and guidance to patients regarding medication usage and possible side effects.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of medications dispensed.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise pharmacy staff to ensure efficient operations.

Requirements:

• Pharmacist License: Must hold an active, current NY State Pharmacist license with no negative history.
• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of retail, mail-order, or specialty pharmacy experience is required.
• High-Volume Experience: Must be able to handle a workload of 800+ prescriptions per day.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks that require dexterity.

Working Conditions:

• The role requires constant standing or walking.
• Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
