Job Description:

The Staff Pharmacist will work under the supervision of the Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC) and be responsible for all activities related to dispensing medications. This role involves filling prescriptions, verifying instructions from prescribing practitioners, and maintaining strict compliance with all standardized professional policies and procedures. The pharmacist will supervise pharmacy technicians, students/interns, and support staff, ensuring that all pharmacy operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise all pharmacy technicians, students/interns, and support staff.
• Dispense medications and verify prescriptions according to practitioner instructions.
• Maintain compliance with all professional policies and procedures.
• Manage and coordinate pharmacy workflow to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Ensure the accurate dispensing of medications, especially in a high-volume environment (800+ prescriptions per day).

Requirements:

• Active NY State Pharmacist license (current, with no negative history).
• Previous experience in Retail, Mail Order, or Specialty Pharmacy settings is required.
• High-volume experience: Must have experience handling 800+ prescriptions per day.
• Ability to stand for long periods in one spot.
