Pharmacist - Oncology - Relocation Bonus
RPh on the Go is seeking out an experienced Oncology Pharmacist for a full-time, direct hire position at a Cancer Center in Tacoma, Washington. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic clinical environment, providing specialized pharmacy services to cancer patients. The position includes a competitive salary, full employer-paid benefits, a sign-on bonus, and relocation assistance if needed, along with a 401(k) plan.
The pharmacist will be responsible for mixing, compounding, and preparing oncology medications in compliance with USP <797> and USP <800> standards.
Key duties include:
- Assuring proper drug storage and accountability in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Serving as a resource for clinic staff on pharmacy-related issues and medication information.
- Supporting the clinic s e-scripting needs.
- Overseeing daily chemotherapy drug orders processed by pharmacy technicians and providing coverage as needed.
- Ensuring the clinic and research pharmacy operate in accordance with applicable federal and state pharmacy laws.
- Monitoring drug refrigerators to maintain proper temperature conditions for drug storage.
- Assessing and managing potential drug interactions, adverse reactions, and toxicities.
- Reporting to the Director of Operations and performing additional assigned tasks as needed.
Schedule:
- Monday Thursday: 7:45 AM 4:30 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM 3:30 PM
Requirements:
- Must hold an active and unrestricted Washington Pharmacist license.
- Must have recent oncology pharmacist experience within the last two years.
- Must have at least two years of sterile compounding experience and knowledge of USP <797> standards.
- Preferably has three or more years of overall oncology pharmacy experience.
- BCOP certification is preferred but not required. Candidates who are currently working toward their BCOP or are willing to obtain it will be considered.
- Must be able to work the required schedule with no flexibility on shift hours.
