Pharmacy Supervisor (Pharmacy Technicians) - Temp to Perm

Term of Assignment: 13+ weeks with the potential to become permanent
Schedule: Monday-Friday, Day Shift

RPh on the Go is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Supervisor to oversee Pharmacy Technicians at a healthcare facility in Peridot, Arizona. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospital pharmacy practice, supervisory experience, and the necessary qualifications to administer immunizations and emergency medications.

Overview:

• Education:
  • Bachelor of Science degree and/or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited school of Pharmacy (PharmD preferred).
  • One-year residency (PGY1) preferred.
• Experience:
  • Minimum three (3) years of pharmacist experience, with at least two (2) years in a hospital pharmacy setting (preferred).
  • Three (3) years of supervisory experience overseeing pharmacy technicians.
• Licensing/Certification:
  • Current and active, unrestricted Pharmacist license (Arizona license preferred).
  • Licensed to administer immunizations, vaccines, and emergency medications (preferred).
  • AHA BLS Certification: Must obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and supervise pharmacy technicians, ensuring adherence to all regulations and pharmacy protocols.
• Maintain high standards for patient safety, ensuring proper medication dispensing and compounding.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication management and patient care in a hospital setting.
• Administer immunizations and emergency medications as needed.
• Stay current with state and federal pharmacy laws and ensure the pharmacy complies with all legal requirements.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid, unrestricted Pharmacist license from any state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory if traveling in for the assignment.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Preferred Experience:

• Hospital Pharmacy: Two (2) years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Leadership: Experience supervising pharmacy technicians and ensuring compliance with hospital standards.
• Residency: Completion of a PGY1 residency is a plus.
