Pharmacist (PRN) for ongoing needs - Red Springs, NC

RPH on the go is seeking a PRN Pharmacist to support ongoing needs across three pharmacy locations in the Red Springs, NC area. This role is ideal for pharmacists seeking flexible, part-time work. The pharmacist will perform all standard retail pharmacy duties and be available to cover varying shifts as needed.

Location:

Key Responsibilities:

• Prescription Verification: Verify prescriptions for accuracy and safety.
• Supervision: Oversee the work of pharmacy technicians.
• Patient Counseling: Provide guidance and counseling to patients on their medications.
• Vaccinations: Administer vaccinations as needed (if certified).
• Workload: Handle prescription volumes ranging between 150 to 350 prescriptions per day across different locations.
• System: Work with Computer RX or Transaction Data Systems for prescription processing.

Pharmacy Hours:

• Monday Friday: 9:00 AM 6:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:30 AM 12:00 PM
• Sunday: Closed

Requirements:

• License: Must have an active and current North Carolina State Pharmacist License with no negative history.
• Flexibility: Must be flexible with schedule and shifts to meet the needs of the pharmacy.
• Experience: Familiarity with Computer RX or Transaction Data Systems is preferred but not required.
• Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Immunization Certification

Note: This position is perfect for semi-retired pharmacists or those looking for part-time work, such as stay-at-home parents not yet ready for a full-time role. We will try to provide as much notice as possible for upcoming shifts, but flexibility is key.
