Inpatient/Outpatient Pharmacist (Travel Assignment) - Nome, Alaska

Overview: RPh on the Go is seeking a highly motivated and experienced pharmacist to join our team for a travel assignment in Nome, Alaska. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for a wide range of clinical pharmacy services in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a diverse healthcare environment and collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order verification
- Sterile compounding and verification
- Clinic inspections
- Working at different pharmacies throughout the hospital
- Providing drug information to healthcare professionals
- Patient counseling
- Renal dose adjustments based on protocol
- Participating in the formulary review process
- Monitoring drug usage and cost-effectiveness
- Preceptor responsibility for pharmacy students
- Staff education
- Serving on P&T and other committees when appropriate
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Active and clear pharmacist license in any state
- Inpatient pharmacy experience
- 2 years preferred or 1 year of post-graduate residency working as a Pharmacist or pharmacist intern, preferably in a hospital setting
- Moderate travel is required (between 25% and 50% of the time)
