Inpatient/Outpatient Pharmacist (Travel Assignment) - Nome, Alaska

Overview: RPh on the Go is seeking a highly motivated and experienced pharmacist to join our team for a travel assignment in Nome, Alaska. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for a wide range of clinical pharmacy services in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a diverse healthcare environment and collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Order verification
• Sterile compounding and verification
• Clinic inspections
• Working at different pharmacies throughout the hospital
• Providing drug information to healthcare professionals
• Patient counseling
• Renal dose adjustments based on protocol
• Participating in the formulary review process
• Monitoring drug usage and cost-effectiveness
• Preceptor responsibility for pharmacy students
• Staff education
• Serving on P&T and other committees when appropriate
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Active and clear pharmacist license in any state
• Inpatient pharmacy experience
• 2 years preferred or 1 year of post-graduate residency working as a Pharmacist or pharmacist intern, preferably in a hospital setting
• Moderate travel is required (between 25% and 50% of the time)
