Position: Pharmacy Paralegal
Location: Somerset, NJ (150 Pierce Street, Somerset, NJ 08873)
Setting: Long Term Care Pharmacy
Schedule: Monday Friday, core business hours, 40 hours per week
Compensation: $80-85K annually
Reporting to: VP of Legal Team

What You'll Do:
As the Pharmacy Paralegal, you'll support attorneys and healthcare providers in navigating complex legal and operational issues that impact our business. Your work will directly influence how we handle contract administration, medical malpractice, insurance claims, and compliance with healthcare laws and regulations. Your duties will include:

• Collections Support: Drafting Demand Letters, Payment Plans, and Termination Notices for customers with outstanding invoices, escalating to legal avenues when necessary.
• Contract Support: Assisting in drafting contracts, ensuring compliance with internal policies and relevant laws, and collaborating with subject matter experts.
• Compliance Assistance: Ensuring adherence to state and federal healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid.
• Legal Case Support: Preparing, gathering, reviewing, and submitting documents for discovery, responding to subpoenas or Requests for Information, and supporting healthcare-related disputes.
• Research: Conducting legal and factual research on healthcare laws, regulations, and relevant case law.
• Stakeholder Communication: Facilitating communication with clients and other key stakeholders in healthcare-related matters.

What We re Looking For:
The ideal candidate is someone with a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset. We want a team player who's eager to jump in and help wherever needed. Experience in healthcare is a plus!

• Education: Bachelor's degree in legal studies, healthcare administration, or related field. Certification in healthcare law is a plus.
• Experience: Healthcare experience is highly desirable (pharmacy, nursing, etc.).
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), exceptional organizational skills, project/litigation management experience, and excellent communication abilities.
• Legal Knowledge: A strong understanding of healthcare-related laws (HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid) is preferred.
