This position seeks a Clinical Pharmacist with specialized expertise in oncology to support an oncology clinic pharmacy environment. This contract-to-hire role offers a daytime schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM over a 13-week assignment, with potential for extension and transition to direct hire.

Responsibilities:

Provide clinical pharmacy services focused on oncology patient care.
Develop and implement clinical oncology treatment plans.
Collaborate with pharmacy technicians in preparing hazardous medications, including sterile compounding, ensuring accuracy through double-checks.
Oversee pharmacy operations to maintain compliance and efficiency.
Utilize Epic for order entry and daily pharmacy workflow.

Qualifications:

Active Illinois pharmacy license is required.
Demonstrated clinical pharmacy experience in oncology, including chemotherapy.
Proficiency in handling hazardous drugs and sterile compounding procedures.
Prior experience in an isolated pharmacy setting, where full responsibility of pharmacy functions is assumed.
Familiarity with Epic electronic medical record system for order entry.

Schedule:

Days, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
13-week contract with possible extension and opportunity for direct hire
