Pharmacy Supervisor - Full Time - Travel/Local - IHS Peridot, AZ

A high-volume IHS outpatient facility in Peridot, AZ is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacy Supervisor for a full-time travel or local contract role. This position is ideal for a dynamic pharmacy leader with strong people skills, clinical proficiency, and a solid background in retail or hospital pharmacy supervision.

Terms:

• Contract: 13+ weeks (with strong potential for extension)

• Full Time: 30+ hours/week

• Shift: Monday Friday; option for 4x10s

• Some night and weekend shifts may be required

Duties:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of a high-paced outpatient pharmacy

• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and tribal regulations

• Lead and engage pharmacy staff through effective coaching and performance evaluations

• Manage inventory, purchasing, and transition between systems

• Maintain and implement departmental policies and procedures

• Support clinical programs (vaccines, anticoagulation, diabetes, blood pressure management)

• Coordinate training, scheduling, and workflow for maximum efficiency

• Prepare monthly operational and quality reports

• Collaborate on quality improvement and strategic planning initiatives

• Promote a positive, patient-centered work environment with strong customer service focus

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and/or PharmD from an accredited college

• PGY1 residency preferred

• 3+ years of pharmacist experience; 2+ years in hospital or similar setting preferred

• Current, active, and unrestricted pharmacist license (AZ license preferred)

• BLS certification from AHA (must be obtained within 30 days of hire)

• Immunization certification strongly preferred

• Demonstrated supervisory experience (1+ years in multiple settings)

• Experience with Omnicell and transitioning between pharmacy systems preferred
