Pharmacy Technician - Full Time - Temp to Perm - Specialty Pharmacy

Location: Austin, TX

RPH on the go is seeking a Pharmacy technician for a specialty pharmacy in Austin, TX. This full-time, temp-to-perm role offers an opportunity to grow within a supportive environment while assisting patients with essential pharmaceutical needs.

Duties:

• Prepare medications by counting, pouring, mixing, and packaging pharmaceuticals.
• Label containers accurately and enter prescription details into the system.
• Verify insurance benefits and process payment transactions at the Point of Service (POS).
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, case managers, and insurance companies.
• Coordinate prescription deliveries and manage routine reporting and correspondence.
• Address and resolve problems proactively while upholding the company's values.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

Schedule/Shift:

• Pharmacy Hours:
  • Monday, Tuesday, Friday: 9 AM - 5:30 PM
  • Wednesday, Thursday: 9 AM - 8:30 PM
  • Saturday: 9 AM - 1 PM
• Flexibility required for occasional travel to support other Austin pharmacy locations.

Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate s degree or higher in a related health field preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of one year as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Licensure: Must be registered with the Texas Board of Pharmacy (BOP) and State Certified as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Certification: National Pharmacy Technician certification preferred.
• Skills:
  • Proficient in MS Office and pharmacy software.
  • Strong English communication skills; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Reliable transportation and a flexible, positive attitude.
