Position: Pharmacy Technician
Location: Austin, TX
Terms: Full Time - Temp to Perm

Pharmacy Hours:

• Monday, Tuesday, Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• Wednesday, Thursday: 9:00 AM - 8:30 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
• Note: Some travel to support other Austin locations may be required.

Overview:
Join a Specialty Pharmacy in Austin, TX utilizing Pioneer RX software. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with patients, case managers, and insurance companies while preparing medications and managing pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare medications by counting, pouring, mixing, and packaging pharmaceuticals.
• Label containers and enter prescription information into the system.
• Verify insurance benefits and handle payment transactions at the Point of Service (POS).
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, case managers, and insurance companies.
• Coordinate prescription deliveries and manage routine reports and correspondence.
• Address and resolve problems proactively while adhering to the company's values.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or higher in a health-related field preferred.
• At least one year of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Must be registered with the Texas Board of Pharmacy and certified as a Pharmacy Technician.
• National Pharmacy Technician certification is preferred.
• Proficiency in English is required; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Strong MS Office skills and experience with pharmacy software are preferred.
• Reliable transportation and a positive, flexible attitude are essential.
