Position: Pharmacy Technician (Remote, Bilingual Support Specialist)

Term of Assignment: Temporary with potential for Permanent placement Shift: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM PST

Pay: $17 - $20 per hour

Overview:

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Pharmacy Technicians in a remote capacity. In this role, you will engage with patients over the phone on behalf of their health plan, providing essential services, and explaining clinical programs and benefits. Your primary responsibilities will include identifying medication-related and health-related issues, obtaining necessary information, and collaborating with pharmacists to deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Patient Engagement: Engage with patients over the phone to deliver services related to their health plans, including explaining clinical programs and benefits.

  2. Issue Identification: Identify potential medication-related and health-related issues and escalate them to the pharmacist for further assessment and resolution.

  3. Provider Coordination: Obtain contact information for healthcare providers to facilitate the delivery of clinical interventions.

  4. Patient Data: Gather patient information required for clinical interventions, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

  5. Professional Communication: Answer phone calls from patients, providers, and pharmacies, responding to inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.

  6. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records using Arine's software platform.

  7. Process Improvement: Participate in process improvement meetings and team meetings to optimize workflows and enhance service delivery.

  8. Issue Resolution: Follow up with hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and patients to resolve clinical issues and concerns promptly.

  9. Patient Education: Prepare and mail patient educational materials and other necessary items as required.

  10. Appointment Scheduling: Schedule patients for telephonic or videoconference appointments with clinical pharmacists.

Requirements:

  • Pharmacy Technician License: Must hold a valid pharmacy technician license in the state of residence.
  • Remote Experience: Prior remote work experience is required.
  • Bilingual Skills: Proficiency in a second language is essential.
  • Availability: Able to work from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM PST.

Note: We do not consider applicants with a background in hospital or compounding pharmacies for this position.
