Responsibilities:

Billing and Claim Submission:

• Process pharmacy claims accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Submit claims to insurance companies and government agencies in a timely manner.
• Identify and rectify any billing errors or discrepancies.

Reimbursement Management:

• Monitor and track reimbursement payments from insurance providers.
• Investigate and resolve any issues related to reimbursement delays or denials.
• Collaborate with the billing team to optimize reimbursement processes.

Compliance:

• Stay informed about changes in pharmacy billing regulations and guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing pharmacy billing.

Customer Service:

• Provide assistance to patients and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries.
• Resolve billing-related issues in a professional and customer-friendly manner.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of billing activities.
• Prepare reports on billing and reimbursement performance as needed.

Qualifications:

• Active Pharmacy Technician license in the state of New Jersey
• Proven experience as a Pharmacy Billing Specialist or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy billing procedures, insurance policies, and reimbursement processes.
• PTCB preferred
