Pharmacy Technician - Duluth, GA
We are currently seeking a motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Duluth, GA. This is a temporary-to-permanent position with a term of at least 13 weeks. In this role, you will play a crucial part in medication dispensing, prescription processing, inventory management, and providing top-notch customer service. Additionally, you will assist with insurance processing and perform various retail duties.
As a Pharmacy Technician in this role, you will be responsible for a range of essential tasks, including but not limited to:

Medication Dispensing:
- Accurately and efficiently prepare and dispense medications following established protocols and safety procedures.
- Verify prescription details to ensure the correct medication and dosage are provided to patients.

Prescription Processing:
- Receive, review, and process prescription orders from healthcare providers.
- Verify prescription information for accuracy and completeness.

Inventory Management:
- Monitor and maintain pharmacy inventory levels to ensure an adequate supply of medications.
- Rotate stock and remove expired or unusable items.

Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Assist customers in locating products and provide guidance on over-the-counter medications.

Working with Insurance Processing:
- Collaborate with insurance companies to process prescription claims and ensure timely reimbursement.
- Verify patient insurance information and assist in resolving any billing issues.

Additional Retail Duties:
- Perform various retail duties as required, such as operating the cash register, handling payments, and maintaining a clean and organized sales area.
- Assist in merchandising and restocking shelves with pharmacy and healthcare products.
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

GA Pharmacy Technician License: You must have an active and clear Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Georgia.

Retail Experience: Previous experience working in a retail pharmacy setting is essential.

Reliable Transportation: Ability to commute to the facility in Suwanee, GA, is necessary.
- Customer Service Skills: Strong customer service skills are required to ensure excellent patient interactions.
Shift:
- Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
- Weekly hours: 32-40 hours
