Pharmacy Technician Eugene OR
RPh on the go is searching for a Pharmacy Technician. The idea candidate will have at least 1-years of pharmacy experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Medication Preparation and Dispensing:
- Accurately prepare and dispense medications, including prescriptions and over-the-counter products, for long-term care residents.
- Compound medications as needed, following established procedures and protocols.
- Label and package medications appropriately, ensuring accuracy in dosage and instructions.

Medication Management:
- Review medication orders for completeness and potential interactions.
- Assist in the management of medication inventory, including ordering, storing, and rotating stock to prevent shortages or expired products.
- Refill and reorder medications as required, ensuring timely delivery to long-term care facilities.

Patient and Facility Support:
- Communicate with healthcare providers, nursing staff, and facility administrators to address medication-related issues and provide necessary information.
- Offer guidance on proper medication administration and side effect monitoring.
- Assist with medication carts and automated dispensing systems used in long-term care settings.

Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including those specific to long-term care pharmacy practices.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, including medication profiles and treatment histories.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent medication errors and ensure quality control.

Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Document medication dispensing, including patient interactions, prescription changes, and any incidents or issues.
- Maintain up-to-date records of medication inventories, orders, and audits.

Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service to long-term care facility staff and patients, addressing inquiries and resolving concerns promptly.
- Assist with patient and caregiver education on medication use and management.

Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions about medication management and patient care improvements.
Shift: MId shift: Wed - Sun;: 10am - 7pm.
Required:
- Pharmacy technician experience.
- At least 6 months, prior order entry experience.
- Oregon pharmacy technician license.
