Pharmacy Technician - Full Time (Specialty Pharmacy)

Location: Austin, TX
Terms: Full-Time | Temp-to-Perm

RPH on the go is looking for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our growing specialty pharmacy in Austin, TX. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm position that involves supporting various pharmacy locations in the Austin area. The ideal candidate will be skilled in pharmacy operations and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Medication Preparation: Count, pour, mix, and package pharmaceuticals according to prescriptions.
  • Prescription Processing: Label containers, enter prescription details into the Pioneer RX system, and verify insurance benefits.
  • POS Transactions: Handle payment processing at the point of service.
  • Patient & Insurance Interactions: Work closely with patients, case managers, and insurance companies to ensure a smooth process.
  • Delivery Coordination: Arrange for prescription deliveries and manage routine reporting and correspondence.
  • Problem Resolution: Proactively address issues while upholding the company s core values and goals.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform other duties as assigned.

Pharmacy Hours:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Friday: 9:00 AM 5:30 PM
  • Wednesday & Thursday: 9:00 AM 8:30 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM 1:00 PM
  • Note: Some travel to support other Austin pharmacy locations may be required.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or higher in a health-related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience.
  • Certification: Must be registered with the Texas Board of Pharmacy and state certified. National Pharmacy Technician certification is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in English (Spanish bilingual is a plus).
    • Strong skills in Microsoft Office and familiarity with pharmacy software (experience with Pioneer RX is a plus).
  • Other: Reliable transportation and a positive, adaptable attitude are essential.
