Position Title: Mail Order Long-Term Care Pharmacy Technician
Location: Lowell, Massachusetts
Shift: Sunday Saturday 9:00am 8:00pm

Position Overview:
RPh on the Go is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Mail Order Long-Term Care Pharmacy Technician to join our growing team in Lowell, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will support the accurate and timely processing of prescription medications for long-term care facilities through our mail-order system, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and promoting patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:
Prescription Processing: Accurately input prescription information into the pharmacy system, ensuring compliance with medication orders and pharmacy regulations.
Medication Packaging and Labeling: Assist in the preparation, packaging, and labeling of medications for distribution to long-term care facilities through mail-order services.
Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain medication inventory levels, including the restocking of medications and supplies.
Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy of prescriptions and medication orders, including double-checking packaging, labeling, and shipping details.
Collaboration: Work closely with pharmacists, other pharmacy technicians, and long-term care facilities to ensure all medication orders are processed efficiently and accurately.
Patient Communication: Provide exceptional customer service, including answering phone inquiries from long-term care facilities, patients, and healthcare providers regarding medication status and delivery timelines.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all pharmacy operations comply with Massachusetts state and federal laws, as well as pharmacy best practices.
Shipping and Delivery Coordination: Coordinate with shipping partners to ensure timely and accurate delivery of medications to long-term care facilities.

Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Certification: Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA) is preferred.
Licensure: Active Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Massachusetts required.
Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a long-term care, mail order, or retail pharmacy setting preferred.
Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and mail-order operations.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry packages, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks such as packaging and labeling medications.
