Shift: Monday Friday - 10:00am 7:00pm
Job Summary:
RPh on the Go is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will assist pharmacists in preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications. While prior experience in long-term care pharmacy is a plus, it is not required. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about patient care and committed to supporting pharmacy operations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of prescription medications to patients in various care settings, including long-term care facilities.
Perform accurate data entry for prescriptions, ensuring proper dosage, patient details, and drug interactions are carefully reviewed.
Manage and maintain medication inventory, including stocking, ordering, and tracking medication expiration dates.
Package and label medications, including unit-dose packaging and blister packs, for long-term care facilities.
Ensure compliance with North Carolina state and federal pharmacy regulations, including controlled substance management and documentation.
Assist in resolving patient, caregiver, and healthcare provider inquiries about prescriptions, refills, and medication management.
Collaborate with the pharmacy team to provide high-quality, patient-centered service.
Perform additional administrative duties as assigned by the pharmacist, including processing prior authorizations and assisting with insurance claims.
Qualifications:
Active Pharmacy Technician license in good standing with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy.
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred but not required.
1-2 years of pharmacy technician experience in a retail, hospital, or long-term care setting.
Strong proficiency with pharmacy software systems and data entry.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in preparing and packaging medications.
Strong understanding of medical terminology, medication names, and dosing.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
