Job Opportunity: Pharmacy Technician (Retail/Non-Sterile Compounding) Rockville, MD

RPh on the Go is actively seeking a Pharmacy Technician for an urgent 13-week contract position near Germantown, MD, with the potential for permanent hire.

Position Details:

• Location: Rockville, MD
• Contract Length: 13 weeks with potential for permanent hire
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM 6:00 PM
• Compensation: $20 - $24 per hour, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Compound 5-6 prescriptions daily in a non-sterile compounding environment
• Support daily pharmacy operations, including assisting in retail settings
• Interact with customers to provide excellent service and assist with prescription inquiries

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Active Maryland Pharmacy Technician License
• National Certification (PTCB or equivalent) preferred
• Minimum of 1-2 years of retail pharmacy experience
• Prior experience with non-sterile compounding is highly encouraged
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Maryland State Requirements:

• Active registration with the Maryland Board of Pharmacy
• Completion of an approved pharmacy technician training program or equivalent work experience
• Passing the Maryland Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam or holding national certification
