Job Title: Pharmacy Technician - Long-Term Care Experience
Location: Great Falls, Montana
Schedule: Monday Friday 9:00am 6:00pm, Saturday 10:00am 4:00pm

Job Summary:
RPh on the Go is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician with Long-Term Care (LTC) Pharmacy Experience to join our team in Great Falls, Montana. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy's operations by preparing and distributing medications to long-term care facilities while ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist pharmacists in preparing, packaging, and dispensing medications for long-term care facilities, including nursing homes and assisted living centers.
Perform accurate and efficient data entry of prescription orders, ensuring proper medication dosing and patient information.
Prepare and maintain medication blister packs, unit-dose packaging, and multi-dose medication adherence systems for long-term care patients.
Collaborate with pharmacists to resolve discrepancies, drug interactions, and other issues related to patient medication profiles.
Manage medication inventory, ensuring timely restocking and expiration tracking of pharmaceuticals.
Coordinate with long-term care facilities to ensure timely and accurate delivery of medications, including managing refills and addressing any concerns related to patient therapy.
Adhere to all Montana state regulations regarding the handling of controlled substances and proper documentation practices.
Ensure compliance with all federal and state pharmacy laws, including those related to long-term care settings.
Provide excellent customer service to facility staff, caregivers, and patients when handling prescription inquiries and issues.
Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace within the pharmacy, particularly in long-term care medication preparation areas.

Qualifications:
Active Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Montana, in good standing with the Montana Board of Pharmacy.
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred but not required.
1-2 years of experience in a long-term care pharmacy or similar pharmacy environment.
Strong knowledge of medication packaging, including blister packs, unit-dose, and multi-dose packaging for long-term care.
Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and data entry tools.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation and order processing.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with facility staff, pharmacists, and patients.
Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations, particularly in long-term care settings.
