Exciting Career Opportunity: Pharmacy Technician at a Leading Hospital

Position: Pharmacy Technician (Contract with Path to Permanent)
Location: New Orleans, LA
Shift Schedule: Rotating shifts: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM and 2:30 PM - 10:00 PM, Monday to Friday, including rotating weekends.

About the Role:

We are looking for a committed Pharmacy Technician to join our hospital pharmacy team. In this vital position, you will help ensure that patients receive their medications accurately and efficiently. Comprehensive training will be provided for all necessary systems.

Main Responsibilities:

• Accurately process medication orders using the EPIC system.
• Deliver medications throughout the hospital setting.
• Assist in managing automated dispensing systems, including OmniCell.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of EPIC and OmniCell is a plus; training will be provided.
• IV preparation experience is advantageous but not required.
• Must possess a valid pharmacy technician license for Louisiana.
• PTCB certification is preferred, but not mandatory.
